Congee in Chinese History

Congee is a type of Chinese rice porridge which is known as “Zhou”. It is a mixture of boiled rice and water, with vegetables, meat or seafood. Congee is easy to digest and contain nutrients, which enables quick revitalization of the body. Congee is often accompanied by deep fried Chinese donut, rice roll, chow mein etc.
